Butterfly House at Texas Discovery Gardens

Friday the wife and I headed over to the Butterfly House at the Texas Discovery Gardes. Its about 80 degrees with 112% humidity, so layer if you go in cold weather. One thing I learned today is that photographing butterflies can make you insane. Its not exceptionally bright in there, so I had to drop my ISO and shutter speed. This makes chasing fast butterflies difficult.

Another item of note: butterflies typically stand with their wings closed, this makes getting a good picture difficult. And when the do open the wings, you have to time it just right and be able to freeze the motion. Again, not easy in low light. Here are the ones that made the cut.
